Real Zero means no fossil fuels – private sector calls for action
On February 11 2025, Lethal Humidity Global Council Members Dr Andrew Forrest, Dr Robert Glasser and Dr Bill Hare joined a list of private sector leaders calling for Australia’s state and federal Members of Parliament to:
- Replace weak net zero targets with real zero commitments that mandate a clear phase-out timelines for fossil fuel use
- Rapidly phase out fossil fuel subsidies
- Implement policies that enable, rather than slow, rapid industry decarbonisation.
Lethal humidity caused by worsening climate change is impacting lives and livelihoods across the world right now.
To address lethal humidity, we must achieve real zero, and that means no fossil fuels.
